Access : Drive towards the US border south of Creston, immediately before the border booth take a left on Porthill Rd and drive around Mawson Lake. Rykerts Rd. is about a km up Porthill Road. The property is on the left side of road approx. 180 metres from start of Rykerts Road. Survey tape is on the south and north end of the property. The useable portion and where the driveway would go is towards the north end.

The Creston Valley is ripe with year-round recreational opportunities.


In summer recreation on nearby Kootenay Lake is a huge draw, golfing at Creston Golf Club (10 mins away from land), hiking, biking and bird-watching and discovering the thriving agri-tourism sector are some popular pastimes in summer. A few outdoor trails worth mentioning are (1) The Thompson Rim Trail, use 4x4s up the most difficult portion of the trail until you reach the top of Mt. Thompson. From here, the trailhead views expand an enormous aerial view of the valley, and a ridge-walk helps you appreciate the uniqueness of the geology; (2) the Lady Slipper trail, it begins as a well-forested trail that ambles up the side of Goat Mountain. The summit is the goal - a lush and mossy mountaintop meadow nestled between swaying conifer s; and (3) The trails within the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area are nearby. Here, check the easy Boardwalk Loop, and climb the 3-storey viewing tower. Longer walks include the 4-hour Wood Duck Walk. There are also numerous FSR road to explore.


In winter, there is not a lot of snow in the valley bottom, but the nearby mountains see a lot more. Kootenay Pass offers world class ski touring. Lift access skiing is 1 hour and 25 mins way at Whitewater or 1 hour 40 mins to Kimberley.


Also worth mentioning is the Creston & District Community Complex which has a three-pool facility, curling rink, fitness gym, outdoor track, hockey arena and banquet hall.
