Though it is located in a very private setting just off of Highway 20, it is a short 10-minute drive from Hagensborg and its amenities.

Access :

From Williams Lake travel Highway 20 west for 477 km. This highway will take you over the Chilcotin Plateau, into Tweedsmuir Provincial Park and down “The Hill” dropping 1,400 metres with up to18% grades, into the scenic Bella Coola Valley. You then travel alongside the breathtaking Atnarko and Bella Coola Rivers until you reach the Bella Coola River Bridge. Just before you go over the bridge, you turn right onto Noosgulch Forest Service Road.


Lot 1 runs parallel to the Noosgulch FSR and is bordered by the Bella Coola River on the west side.


Lot 5 is approximately 4 km up the Noosgulch FSR, at the top of the hill on the east side of the road. This lot borders Noosgulch River on the east and the FSR on the west.


Lot 6 is also approximately 4 km up the Noosgulch FSR. This lot borders the west of the road right from the Bella Coola River, up the hill and directly across from Lot 5.

Recreation :

Wildlife viewing and photography are popular recreation past times in Bella Coola. The Great Bear Rainforest on the Central Coast of British Columbia is a world renowned wilderness eco-tour destination. It is one of the world’s few remaining old-growth temperate rainforests. It is also the home of coastal wolves, black bears, grizzlies and the unique Kermode “Spirit Bear.”


Fishing the rivers is another popular recreational activity for those living in and visiting the Bella Coola Valley. The Atnarko and Bella Coola rivers are the hosts to all five species of salmon and world class salmon fishing.


Another popular recreation in Bella Coola is boating or hiring one of the many local charter companies to go out on the ocean to fish for salmon, halibut, rock fish, crab and prawns. You may also like spending time in one of the nearby hot springs, touring to Mackenzie Rock or just sightseeing.


Bella Coola is also a recreational destination for heli-skiers and heli-hikers. The majestic Coastal Mountains offer never ending terrain loved by avid skiers, rock climbers and hikers from all over the world.

Vegetation : All three lots offer a moss covered forest floor. They have all been logged in the past offering second growth fir, cedar, hemlock and spruce.
Area Data :

The Bella Coola community is remote in nature and contains a population of approximately 2,000 people. The primary geographical structure of the community, both in terms of physical structures and population distribution is the long, narrow valley. The Chilcotin Highway 20 (stretches from the Government wharf (on the Pacific Ocean) through the extent of the populated portion of the valley, through Hagensborg and Firvale before climbing to the Chilcotin Plateau. The entire population of the community lives on either side of this road or very near to it.


Both Bella Coola and Hagensborg have essential services including retail outlets for groceries and hardware, gas stations and repair shops, Canada Post offices, gift shops, and places to purchase fishing/hunting licences. Banking can be done at the Williams Lake & District Credit Union in Bella Coola; ATMs are located at the Hagensborg Shop Easy, Thunderbird Store, the Credit Union and the Bella Coola General Hospital. The Bella Coola General Hospital has a walk-in clinic and a pharmacy. There is no permanent veterinary service in the Valley. Bella Coola also has a gym, an outdoor rink, an outdoor public pool, an organic market as well as numerous arts, gifts and coffee shops.
