The property is situated along Beaverdell Station Road, which as the name implies, was once a train stop on the historic Kettle Valley Railway. The railway operated across southern British Columbia, west of Midway running to Rock Creek, then north to Myra Canyon, down to Penticton over to Princeton, Coalmont, Brookmere, Coquihalla and finally Hope where it connected to the main CPR line.


It opened in 1915 and was abandoned in portions beginning in 1961, with the surviving portion west of Penticton seeing their last trains in 1989. Much of the railroad's original route has been converted to a multi-use recreational trail, known as the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, which carries the Trans-Canada Trail through this part of British Columbia. The Kettle Valley Recreational Trail runs right along the bottom of this property and is a great asset for horseback riding, mountain biking etc.


Situated directly across the street from the property is Kettle River known for its rainbow trout fishery. There is a section of Crown land along the Kettle River directly across the street giving you access to the river for fishing, swimming or just relaxing by the water.


The property has two access points and a network of old logging roads throughout the property, however these roads have not been used for couple years and they have grown over a bit and there are some trees across the road. This property was logged approximately 20 to 25 years ago and there is some good second growth tree regeneration. This property would definitely be a good long-term timber investment. The property is also completely outside the ALR making the subdivision potential for this property quite realistic.

Beaverdell is an unincorporated settlement in the Monashee Country of the Southern Interior of British Columbia, which lies to the east of the Okanagan Valley and north of the Boundary Country region. It is located midway along the West Kettle River between Kelowna and Rock Creek along British Columbia Highway 33.


Beaverdell is best known for its hiking and biking trails along the Great Trail. Unplug and rejuvenate as you camp along the Kettle River. There are year-round outdoor activities you can enjoy here and within the Boundary Country.

History :

Beaverdell was originally named Beaverton, but when its post office was amalgamated with that of nearby Rendell, the names of the two locations were combined into Beaverdell. It is the namesake of the Beaverdell Range, which is on the settlement's east side and is the mountain spine lying between the West Kettle River and the Kettle River.


There are several charming buildings in town, including the General Store and the Ice Cream Parlour. The Beaverdell Hotel, Canada’s longest continuously operating hotel, burned to the ground in 2011.


Silver was discovered here in 1897 and was mined right up until 1987. Have a chat with one of the 350 residents who make this town their home. They have some interesting stories and information to share.
