Recreation :

The Shuswap region is known as a recreational paradise extremely popular with BC residents and Albertans, with summer being the busiest season. The lake is the main draw offering hundreds of kilometres of shoreline to explore, remote stretches of the lake to escape the crowds, or for those looking for activity and excitement a thriving vacation/recreational boating scene. This property is located near the eastern end of the main arm, situating it well to escape the crowds if one so desired for some great water skiing, pleasure boating, or power boating open stretches of water. The lake is large enough and has a unique “H-like” shape allowing it to more easily handle all the activity.

The region also has several top rated golf courses (mini golf for the kids as well). What makes these courses so intriguing is both the course design and the backdrop of the beautiful lake views.

Other land based activities include horseback riding and hiking (lots of trails), accessing hundreds of miles of FSR roads on quads, dirt bikes, or in your vehicle - one could very quickly get into some extremely remote areas of BC, find some “short cuts” back towards Revelstoke and get access up to some amazing alpine peaks.

In winter, the North Shuswap's nearby mountainous slopes offer opportunities for snowmobilers and skiers looking for powder. Moderate climate and great terrain make for truly a mountain playground.

This property is located in St Ives, at the eastern end of the main arm of the lake. An exceptional and distinct part of the North Shuswap is the world renowned Salmon Run. Roderick Haig Provincial Park is home to the annual salmon run and this natural cycle is a wonder that must be experienced, millions of sockeye salmon return each year to spawn and continue the salmon life cycle. There are numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and commercial activities along the North Shuswap.

Shuswap Lake
One of BC’s post popular Lakes, the Shuswap is comprised of more developed areas and other areas that are still in their pristine undeveloped state. Generally the North Shuswap (where this property is located) and the northern most stretches of the arms are less developed than the main body and south shoreline. The lake is at the heart of a region known as the Shuswap Country, or "the Shuswap," noted for its recreational lakeshore communities including St Ives. Shuswap Lake consists of four arms, forming a shape reminiscent of the letter H. The four arms are called Salmon Arm (southwest), Anstey Arm (northeast), Seymour Arm (north), and the main lake (west)./p>
