This beautifully appointed 4000 sq. ft. 5 bedroom home is fully furnished including bedroom and bathroom linens, kitchen appliances, dishware and fishing gear. It offers all the comforts for an incredible retreat ideal for family and friends. With a 30 x 20 private dock on a foreshore lease, you can drop off you gear and be in some prime fishing grounds within minutes.
Ocean Falls Retreat is located in the old town site of Ocean Falls, the property is not on the foreshore but is 100 meters up the hill between the ocean and a freshwater lake. The benefits to an existing town is hydro electricity, sewer system and water system (not well service). Ocean Falls is remote but enjoys many amenities not existent in other locations. The home has a foreshore lease and 30 x 20 foot private dock with ramp that is included, the foreshore lease will be assigned to the Buyer. The government dock, the home's dock and the Yacht Club dock are all within close proximity.
The home was recently redecorated with new paint and knotty pine ceilings in the kitchen, main floor great room and upstairs hall. The living space is warm and inviting with a beautiful river rock fireplace, large natural light kitchen and incredible mountain views.
The area is popular for fishing, kayaking, hiking and watching the surrounding wildlife and vast variety of land and sea birds. The property offers a wilderness adventure with all the comforts of home.
This property also provides one of the best opportunities we have seen to get involved in BCs adventure tourism industry at the lowest possible entry level price. Starting small and expanding virtually eliminates the risk. Foreshore leases for moorage on the ocean and the lake would be a great benefit to a lodge operation.

OCEAN FALLS: Lat. 52 - 21 - 20N Long. 127 - 41 - 20 WT
The community of 30 fulltime residents and 50 additional seasonal residents is divided into two neighborhoods. Ocean Falls Townsite is on the right and Martin Valley is on the left. The road between them is approximately 1.5 km. You can just see a bit of water above the townsite, this is Link Lake which is 18 miles (25km) long and has great fresh water fishing. There is a hydroelectric dam and waterfall just above the town site.
MID COAST:
The mid coast of BC is one of the most breath taking areas in the world. Misty fjords abound and granite peaks that seem carved from a single stone spring out of the sea to soar a mile high over cold green waters a thousand feet deep. The shoreline is swathed in thick old-growth forest teeming with wildlife. Its a lot of fun to play in paradise and Ocean Falls is the perfect place to get started.
It is tucked snugly away in the end of Cousins Inlet off the Dean Channel where seals and sea otters play in the bay area year round and Canada Geese and Blue Heron winter over on the Martin River Delta.
Hiking trails fan out from town; up the Martin Valley and off to the local lakes. Link Lake, accessible by car or foot is eighteen miles of pristine beauty with resident cut-throat trout. On the salt-chuck the fjords are endless and each one unique. There are whales, seals dolphins and sea-lions in the water, deer, bear, and wolves on the shore and squadrons of eagles whirl and soar amongst the crags. Fresh water streams down ancient stone into the sea everywhere. The eco-system bursts with life from the sea bed to the mountain tops. This is the rainforest at its best!
There have been a billion pictures taken of the area and they say not one of them does it justice. Its impossible to really know how beautiful it is until youve seen it with your own eyes. |
