About 10 km west of Alexis Creek you will see the Provincial Campground Bull Canyon on your left. About 3 km past Bull Canyon watch for the sign on your right Alexis Lake/Nazko Road. Turn right here and follow the road for 25 km. Do not turn right onto Mainly Rd. Continue past it for approximately 1 km. The gates property is on your right.

Alexis Creek is a small community located 113 kilometres (68 miles) west of Williams Lake on Highway 20 in the Chilcotin Grasslands region of British Columbia. History :

Alexis Creek was named after Chief Alexis, who was chief during the time of the Chilcotin War. Near Alexis Creek are Battle Rock and Bull Canyon, sites of numerous fierce battles fought against the Chilcotin, who were defending their territory against invasions from the Shuswap and Bella Coola tribes.


The history of the little village dates back to the early 1900s when a young Irishman, Alex Graham, moved his family down from the Graham Meadows above Alexis Creek and began building the C-1 Ranch. He is often called the founder of Alexis Creek. Soon other pioneers settled here creating the now active ranching community of Alexis Creek
